This system allows users to search the approximately 500,000 recipients of the Good Design Award since its inception.

Summary

This system allows users to search the approximately 500,000 recipients of the Good Design Award since its inception. The range of search being handled by the system are the diverse award recipients of the G-mark (the Good Design Award mark). However, the search system until now could only perform search using fixed conditions, such as the award, the year, the award number, and predetermined genres. The improvement in search this time allows users to search the entire text using free keywords so that they can search for targets they want to easily view. Thus users can search for text which are tightly packed with passionate comments about receiving the award, read all 500,000 long essays, and extract results containing the search keyword(s). Furthermore, because results related to the the result being viewed are also shown, users can transversely browse the subject they are interested in from the past to the present, and make new discoveries from various angles. The system is cloud-based, so the server cost can flexibly support the number of accesses. It can accept the spike in access from different countries about the world on the day the awards are announced.
